By making the communication tool home base and the launch pad to other apps.
With our new feature, Launching Apps from within MyTalk, we were wondering if you would join us in an experiment? We know that communication for those with complex communication needs can be a chore. But what if the communication tool was where they started and ended every day, thereby integrating communication into all they do.
Imagine that your end-user's home page looked like this.
And even if your end-user swiped 5 or 6 times, right to left, looking for apps, it still looked the same.
But more important, what if inside of MyTalk, you end user saw something like this on his home board.
And this just below the YouTube Cell

There would be no need to keep swiping right on the iPad home board because life is now integrated with communication. They are not separate anymore.
Or what about a home page with a 'Launch Apps' cell?
Would it be more natural to communicate operating in that environment?
We have a situation with our end-user, who is in a transition program. The bus gets home at 3pm and there is a 100 yard walk to the house. Sometimes it is very cold. What about a FaceTime cell to connect with mom or dad?
You can call or use Facetime on your phone. On your iPad you can use Facetime. In this situation, Facetime is better.
With Facetime we can see that he is out of the cold.
Launching apps to help lessen the burden of communication is just an idea we had. We would love to get your feedback and comments on this post. Get started by testing our 'YouTube' page in the 'submissions' library. (Use Workspace to add the YouTube cell to your board from the submissions library, then sync. )
Mobile: As we launch Mobile 4.0 we noticed a bug. If you use the Mobile command (Edit / pick cell / Board / Library Board Search / Submissions tab / 'YouTube') the text in the 'app link' field is missing. So the YouTube board does not work! No worries. That's a bug we will fix, but don't let that prevent you from adding our YouTube page to your boards! Here's how.
Workspace works great? Open the 'submissions' Library. In the search field type 'you' then hit the search icon. Drag the YouTube cell on to your board, then sync. Go to Mobile and try it.
We would love to get your comments.
