Add Cell To Library - New approach in Workspace 4.0
FeaturedIn Workspace SL, our Workspace tool for the last 2 years, a wonderful feature was dragging cells from Map View to one of your Libraries. It was a great way to share, doing work one time. We still have that capability, but now there are more options to save cells to your library.
Pick your cell and click on the gear located in the top right corner of the cell you want to copy. In this case we selected 'Needs'.
Now, at the bottom of the drop down box, choose 'Add Cell to Library'
You are prompted to pick a Library.
You can save to your private library, a library that you created, or donate to the submissions Library
In the example below we will select the Private Library
Now choose 'Copy Cell To Library - Wait. Soon you will see a confirming pop up box in the middle of your screen confirming that the cell has been saved to the library.
Now save more cells.
Now we will locate those cells in your library.
Notice that we have filtered on 'Cells' at the top of the Library. See the 3 boxes, Audio-Video, Images, and Cells? Unclick the first two leaving only 'Cells' selected. This will limit clutter in the Library display section below. You will only see Cells, not images or Audio-Video files. The 'Needs' cell is now ready to be used somewhere else. Drag it on to your board anywhere you want to use it.
THERE IS ANOTHER WAY: SIMPLY DRAG AND DROP INTO AN OPEN LIBRARY
DRAG and DROP now works from either Layout View or Map View. Open the Library (any of your private libraries, or the submissions library) left click and hold on the cell you want to move to the library. Holding the left click down, drag the cell to the open portion of the library and lift up on the left click.
