I use MyTalk all the time in my instruction and assessment for non verbal students in group lessons. It's perfect for the students who can finger isolate and touch the device. For students who use eye gaze, it's a little difficult to determine where they are looking if a board has several cells. I have been putting in only three cells in a row. Then putting choices only in the first and last cell. The cell between serves as a separator. I even go into that middle cell and delete the place holder word, empty, so it will appear blank. Give it a try!
I have purchased a switch that will work with MyTalk to assist blind students but the blind students I work with are so low cognitively that I've yet to be able to use the system for instruction. I'd love to hear from anyone who has been successful. Please share what you are doing with it and how you got there.
