Video problem: There is no image in my video cell. It is blank in Mobile and a wire frame in Workspace
This is a picture of a board that is filled with video cells. Why do some of them appear blank even though there is a video on that cell.
Most likely it is because you are a long time MyTalk user and the videos in the blank appearing cells were added to your library long ago. Over time we have made changes to the way we manage videos because there is so much complexity getting videos to appear correctly in both Workspace and Mobile.
The way it works today is:
If there is no pic in the cell (like a new cell, for example) if you drag a video to it, MyTalk will look for a pic with the same name as the video in your library and automatically add the pic to cell. See the Library below:
Notice there are two video files, as indicated by the 'play' icon. But there are also two image files with the same name. So if there is no picture in the cell you are dragging the video to, we grab the image file with the same name.
NOTE: If you have an image in the field you are dragging the video to, we leave that image in place, not pulling the image file from the library.
Problem: Notice above that in Mobile you have video files with no image. Look below in Workspace. Sometimes the cell will appear blank or other times it will appear as a wire frame of an image.
A blank means there was no corresponding image in the library. A "frame" in Workspace means that there was a pic but for whatever reason it no longer exists. This usually only occurs with clients who have been using MyTalk for many years prior to our video processing changes. See the library below, with no matching image file.
Solutions:
1. Attach an acceptable image to that file, then drag the video on to the cell.
2. Add a new file to your library. Our new process will attach an image file with the same name.
