I don't like a sound, video, or image so I've created another file and saved using the same name. The first file won't go away. When I sync to my hand-held device, I'm still getting the old file. What do I do?
Sometimes the silverlight application won't let go of a file when you delete it. This is a known problem and we are working on a fix, but there are workarounds.
If you have another file that you want in it's place, just drop that file on the cell and answer yes to 'replace existing file'
If you don't want a file in that cell, say for example you don't want audio, but there is already a sound file that won't go away. Go to your mobile device and use "Delete Sound" from your mobile device. Here are the steps:
Login in to Author mode on iPad
Select edit mode / select the cell / Sound / Delete Sound. That will delete the sound file on your i-Device.
Next do a sync / merge. Then refresh your browser. The sound file will be removed from both locations
Delete the cell entirely in Workspace, then re-add the image and/or sound files that you want to be in the cell. This can be a problem if you've decided to remove sound from a cell that has several child boards below that cell. If that is the case copy each of the cells on the board below (drag them from MAP view) to the library, then delete the cell, add it back in and drag the saved cells to the board below. That's the workaround, but rest assured we are working on it.
Something else to check:
You have save several files using the same name and the application is confused and holding the wrong file in cache. It's best to review your library to determine if you have several files with the same name. Delete the files that you don't want then, refresh your browser, then try again. You should hear the new audio, video or image file. Then sync your hand-held device.
