    Mytalk Support

Hi Kristen.  There are several parts to your note so lets start with a big thank you for sharing how your student uses MyTalk throughout the day.  We have always hoped that the versatility of MyTalk would allow students to use MyTalk just as it is being used by your student.  I would love to know if there has been a real quality of life improvement as a result.

Switch is coming in the next release. More details will come when we are ready.  We will make announcements in several places, but if you participate in the social networks, follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be the first to know.  Go to www.mytalktools.com at the bottom left to follow.

Workspace and the subscription model: Changes are coming.  Our intentions were to support the community by not forcing Workspace into the price of MyTalk Mobile, thereby preventing families from affording MyTalk mobile.  We also offered the monthly subscription so that people could opt out any time.  But some have interpreted our approach negatively so we will offer a 1 time purchase alternative.  All of this will be coming in the next release, scheduled before the end of October.

Great questions and I'd love to know the answer to my question above.

Hi! I may have solved my workspace dilemma- we bought iPad2s- which have cameras! I look forward to all of the new releases in order to increase our use of MyTalk.

You asked about quality of life improvement as a result of MyTalk. I would have to say YES! This student's life has improved tremendously! He is 15 years old, and his family and educational staff had virtually given up on his using a communication device, until MyTalk. MyTalk on the iPad is simple yet engaging, and the use of real life pictures has finally allowed this student to communicate his needs and wants!

    Thank you!

Thanks for your note.  I was hoping for your answer.  So let's not lose momentum because of the gains made to date.  Call me pushy, but keep the focus on new content.  You know about abandonment and we face the same possibility with MyTalk.  It's critical that the MyTalk Author(s) keep pushing the envelope by creating new, relevant, day to day content.  That is the only way to continue engagement and growth.

I'll keep you posted on the new release, but suggest you do the twitter, facebook, linkedin connection if you do those things.  :)
