The MyTalk team received the following note. We wanted to share it with you.

So working in ED and patient arrives having suffered a Seizure - he had a stroke a 9 months ago and is left completely aphasic (can't speak) and hemiplegic (one side doesn't work). Wife is able to communicate with him by "fighting it out" (her words not mine) - so I mentioned mytalk and showed it to her on my iphone... she mentioned the disaster of the "heavy" $10,000 device she had received while he was in rehab... we work up the patient and I return to find that his wife had gone to the lobby and down loaded MyTalk (free version) and was using it to communicate with her husband on her iphone. Literally had tears in her eyes as did her husband and the nurse in the room...'
Thanks Dr. McCarthy, what a great note! Sometimes we lose site of why we are doing this. Thanks for keeping us focused.
