When Pairing your Ablenet switch to your iDevice, you are required to enter a 4 digit numeric sequence. Due to the small size and compact nature of the number, it may be difficult to accomplish at first. Here are a few steps to help make it easier.
View your Ablenet Switch "Quickstart Guide". The directions to enter the sequence are stated as follows
1. press the Reset Button- Lights will flash sequencially.
To send digits 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 - Press "shift" plus mode button.
4. Press "Enter" when all digits are entered- Single light will flash slowly when connected.
Common issues with numeric sequence entering.
The first and most common issue is not being able to see the numbers on the "Mode" buttons. Learning which numbers are on each "Mode" button will come with practice, but this photo will help identify the mode buttons a little easier.
You may accidentally enter the wrong number sequence from time to time, this is not a problem. You will be prompted with a message saying
"Pairing Unsuccessful: Make sure "Dual Pedal" is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair"
If you are in range and the switch is on, this statement is more than likely not true. It may have been a result of an improper key entry. If this happens, press "OK", select "Dual Pedal" in the BlueTooth menu and try again.
If you keep trying to pair your device and are positive that you are pressing the correct buttons, make sure you are using the "Shift" Pedal. Just like shift on a regular keyboard, it changes the value of the buttons you press on the switch. Each mode button at the top right has 2 digits on it. If you are given a numeric sequence to enter that contains 6, 7, 8, 9, or 0, you must hold "Shift" (the left pedal) to enter this digit properly. For 1-5 digits, you do not need to hold "Shift".
